Last April 24, I had listened to a piece of speech by Tucker Carlson, the tone and content of which surprised me. I saw a moved man who doesn’t mince words about what he thinks of the situation in the world. The next day I learned that he is no longer with Fox News.
Was he fired? Fox News reported that he and Fox agreed to part ways. That is the message to the outside world. Tucker Carlson has remained silent on Twitter since April 21. But in fact, it was quite astonishing that Fox boss Rupert Murdoch had tolerated Carlson within his ranks for so long. Reason why many saw controlled opposition in Carlson. I did not share that vision, always saw an inspired man who really feels pain in the heart about what is happening in the world. The speech that was delivered recently does not show one who compromises. His words are too explicit for Fox, I think. Full speech can be seen here.
I’ve always felt sympathy for Tucker, and this has only intensified these days. His way of highlighting world news has flair, humor and is always sharp. Carlson has a worldwide audience which guarantees that, wherever he sticks his head above the mowing field, he will be found by many again.
